What we collect

Logging in to access the system provides us with personally identifying information. This information includes your name, email address, and ccid.

We collect what you put into the application and the interactions you have with the system. This information includes, but is not limited to, answers to surveys and quizzes, geotagged event attendance, self reported demographics, external module completion, team interactions, shop purchases, and associated metadata.

Use of the application generates metadata. This information includes Internet Protocol addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider, referring and exit pages, operating system, device specifications, date and time stamp, and clickstream data.

What we do with the information

Your personally identifiable information is used for authentication and account management. Your contact information may be used by the UASU to send you targeted messaging. Your contact information may be released to third parties as required for the redemption of prizes and contests. Entry into contests run through the platform requires publicly releasing the name of winning entrants. If you choose to use the optional teams system your name will be visible to other team members as well as the leaderboards.

All information collected through use of the system will be depersonalized before being viewed by anyone not responsible for running or managing UASU Perks. Information collected from activities clearly marked as third party or sponsored may be shared with those third parties. Aggregate reports generated from the collected information may be released publicly.

The metadata will be used for analytics, system monitoring, and system debugging.

Things you should know

We will comply with legal court orders to release private information.

The system is monitored for unauthorized access or use. Personally identifiable user information may be tied to metadata during the course of an investigation.

We use third party tools such as Google Analytics. No personally identifiable user information will be stored by these third parties.

UASU Perks is one part of the online services provided by the UASU under a common user and engagement system. Information may be shared between services within this system.

Deletion of data

To request the deletion of your account or any specific data associated with it, please send an email to perks@uasu.ca with the subject line 'Account Deletion Request' or 'Data Request', respectively. Our team will promptly assist you with your inquiry. We value your privacy and are committed to ensuring a transparent and secure process for managing your personal information.
